[Full tile: 1863. List of Constables. Appointed in the Ledbury District, in the County of Hereford, and of the Parishes for which they have been appointed, Pursuant to the Provisions of the 5th and 6th. Victoria, c. 109; Special Party Sessions held the 1st day of April, 1863]. Single sheet measuring ten inches (twenty five centimetres) by fifteen inches (thirty-eight centimetres) approx. Printed one side only. Has been folded at some time in its life and there is a small tear to one of the blank margins not affecting any of the text.
The list shows the Parishes in the district, the Christian and Surnames of the Constables for the Parish, their place of abode and their Title, Quality, Calling or Business. There are twenty-one parishes covered and fifty-one constables named. George Masefield’s (the Clerk to the Justices) name is printed at the bottom of the list.
